Wonderful Husband (Stephen) has decided (dictating) that we are now vacating the island during TT week (large quantities of exotic machinery of the two-wheel variety) to go back to Ireland and chill. That was Stephen's bit in the blog.
I'm actually looking forward to get away for a bit because it will be chaotic with these bikers whizzing in and out of traffic... and we have so little traffic over here that it will become a big problems when 10,000 bikers descend upon the islanders. Another sore point will be that during racing days, if you live within the boundary of the racing circuit, you are unlikely to get home before the race starts.... and when it starts.... you are stuck in your home until the race ends.... why do you think so many of the islanders decide to leave for a 2-week break elsewhere because they know? we have never experience the TT before so we decided to stay on 2 years ago and find out what it is all about - it was madness! I don't think we would want to stay to see the aftermath....
So, from the 4th - 9th of June, we will be taking the ferry to Belfast and get over to Enniskillen to stay in a static caravan which belongs to Stephen's mum and take it easy. We will come back with photos. If I don't see you after this... have a great bank holiday tomorrow.

Dating again and Faris' idea.
Sawadikhar to my dearest cousins,
Long silence from me and looks like from a lot of you...alas the steam was sure to run out eh? Hope you lot will pile in the coals and get your steam engines warmed up again, cause you're going to be receiving a barrage of emails from me.
For one my absensce has already been explained partially by Hidayah - our trip to Denmark. Then after that was ding donging around Bangkok with Hidayah - which was great fun. And what a let down it is when she left. I get so homesick.
I'll be sharing with you guys little anecdotes of our trip there plus photos. In the meanwhile, back in Bangkok, Kim and I started to date again. Throughout the time we have had Taufik we have yet to go out on a one to one date, till yesterday.
It was wonderful, I felt a little bit shy, can you imagine - 7 years of marriage and I was all virginlike. He he he he
We held hands, walked along the streets of Bangkok, a Raspberry Frappuccino in hand, looking at the little restaurants and slowly taking our time choosing a place to eat. We shared Seafood Risotto, feeling guilty as hell about leaving Taufik behind. But knowing too that he was having a fantastic time at my maid's house playing with the kids there.
I had sent him off with his little Mickey Mouse drag along bag, packed with his homemade playdough and it's utensils. He was a happy bunny indeed. I must say, just one date I can already feel the passion rekindling.
Aside from that, I need to scold you guys for the lack of enthusiasm for Faris's holiday idea. Kim and I are so darned keen on it, so I am going to revive the idea and put it on a platter for you lot to consider. How about it cousins? How about a good ol time on a little yacth, just like CSI Miami - get inspired!
Okay I gots to run now, will be watching Ray Charles with hubby. Hopefully catch CSI Supreme every Sunday night. (Take note, unlike Hidayah, I totally do not dig Dr.Grissom, give me Ken Watanabe anyday (Memoirs of a Geisha).
In case y'all are interested here is my list of the six top sexiest men in the world,
1. Kim
2. Kim Henriksen
3. Kim Abdul Aziz Henriksen
4. Tim Sebastian (Hard Talk and Doha Debate)
5. Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai and Memoirs of A Geisha)
6. Stephen Sackur (Hard Talk but his position is shaky)
See ya later alligators.
Love,Nina

The hills of Denmark and what other nonsense
Hi there cuzzies,
Yakmin, I was so touched to see that beautiful blue birthday cake! Thank you so much for your wishes, and you too Rizal and Aisha for your heartwarming sms.
Like Dayah mentioned, we were away in Denmark for two lovely weeks. Though Hidayah found the menfolk in Kim's hometown, Frederikshavn, rather dull for her taste, they found her beguiling. I must tell you that she was very popular with the men there. We had Simple Simon, who was an Icelandic horse owner that attempted to tempt her for a horse riding trip on the hills of Denmark with him. This was one time Hidayah was uninterested in horsing around, I can tell u that. Then there was Stein who couldnt keep his eyes off her. Then we've got Lars, who refused to leave the party cause he wanted to coax her into chatting with him.
On my part I was warding off the onslaught of campaigning from my mother in law to move to Denmark "cause Kim has been in your country for so long Alena, now it's your turn to be in his country." Though it would have been easier to say, "Yes, mother." I turned coyly to her and said, "But Thailand, is not my country, mother." and pouted sulkily. She probably wanted to wring my neck.
Naah, she's a wonderful woman - and i understand her, what mother would not want her child living near her? And who knows I might end up spending a few years in good old Viking country.
Taufik enjoyed himself silly with his cousins, his Danish improved tremendously while we were there. We treasured our stay at our family's summer home by the ocean. Taufik driving his grandfather's tractor, digging in the sand, spoiled silly by the attention paid to him by Maria and Camilla (my nieces).
I thought I'd share with you some pictures here. Pictures of us at the summer house and of us at the nearby farm where we were lucky enough to be there when a goat gave birth to her kid, "Billy the Kid" said Dayah.

Here is Kim and Taufik with my father-in-law at the entrance of Kimik's Hus - Kim and his brother Mikael's summer house. Thus, the name KimMik.
Here is Hidayah at Kimik's patio. We were enjoying the sun shining as spring descended upon Frederikshavn while having lunch.
Lastly, one of Kim, Taufik and I walking at the animal farm, another lovely warm spring day.

Jasmine is 2 months old

Hello everybody, just a short update on what's been happening so far. For one thing, Jasmine is 2 months old and for the first time is sleeping right through the night. I'm so glad that it happened sooner because I was virtually tearing my hair out on what to do if she didn't. Recently we went back to Ireland to visit Stephen's family. We were hoping that my mother-in-law would take to Jasmine and I was very worried that she wouldn't. You see, my mother-in-law has not been well for quite some time. She's suffering from depression after the death of her husband 4 years ago of alzheimer's. She's been down in the dumps and I thought that Jasmine would lift her spirits up a bit. So, it is with great relief that she did took to Jasmine immediately. There was a spark in her old self... and both Stephen and I are so glad that we came. Of course, the rest of the family took to her too. This picture said it all.
Update May 2006

Hello cousins, I'm doing the monthly update thing. What can I say that I'm sorry for not contributing to the fund. I'm stretch to the max. Things are very expensive when taking care of Jasmine. I don't have the luxury of having family around me to help me out... somehow I missed having them around. I had Betty (who is Stephen's older cousin) came around recently to help me out and she was very good to me. If it was not for her, I wouldn't be able to survive on my own. Although Stephen was a star player... he wasn't there per se on the night feeding aspects. I cannot blame him for this as I suppose he was the youngest in his family and he couldn't understand why I can't handle it on my own. By the time Jasmine was born, I was in complete shambles. But now, I'm on the mend. Jasmine will be going to a baby school in July... and I will be back at work at the end of July. I can't wait... you know what I missed... grown-ups! things to talk about besides baby stuff. Of course, we are over the moon with Jasmine. She smiled to me the other day and that's rewarding enough. I can't wait for her to start babbling and talking and walking. I'm hoping that i would see them first before the baby minder.
Recently we went back to Ireland for a week's visit. First was to see the family and show Jasmine off; the second was a friend's wedding. Everybody took to Jasmine immediately. I must admit she is a beautiful child. We went to see a friend who had a baby girl 2 weeks younger than Jasmine and I must say she outweighs the rival by a long shot.... our girl is much more prettier ;-) The other rival is named Rosie Genevieve - check out the picture!

As it is, we are following routine... and as you can see from the picture, she's gradually outgrowing the rival. It's amazing how things progress from her being so small - well, not really! Jasmine Lyttle cannot be label as being small... and i can tell that she's going to be tall - much taller than both of us... a supermodel or rather the first girl GP rider. Stephen is thinking of investing in a minimoto for her whenever she turns 4-5 years of age.
Over here in the Isle of Man, we are looking to get on the property ladder as we felt that we are not getting any younger in acquiring a mortgage. We have made appointment with the mortgage advisor to see what kind of property we can afford to buy over here. Mind you! Prices over here can be astromical - we are talking Brighton prices for a 3-4 bedroom property. But i think we can afford to do so as we are paying a high rent of £800 per calendar month and that do not include payment for utilities (ie. gas, electricity & telephone). So, we will be keeping our fingers crossed. I sent an invitation to Aisha to view pictures of our Jasmine. I don't have all the cousins' email addresses but I hope you will come and view the pictures and leave a comment or two in the guestbook.
Hot Hot chicken shit
Hehehehe...u damn hilarious min...thats exactly what i thot.."hot hot chicken shit"...
