Mother's Day

It's been tough being a Dinnie lately, but what I have noticed is-the family unity remains strong. We had a mother's day celebration, in loving memory of Mak Tua, Mak Chor and Mak Dah at Min's apartment, by the pool.

We went through Nana's scrap book of the family (Nana!! I loved the pictures).

It was a really breezy day, and we each brought a dish (pot luck).

Our beloved Mak Dah

Assalaamu'alaikum,

My dearest family,

Our much loved Mak Dah passed away peacefully early this morning. She was surrounded by people who loved her. Aisha, Adin and Hussein were there by her side.

Please spare a moment of your time to gift her the pahala of your Al-Fatihah. Do dua for her the best of duas.

I write to inform you so that you may participate in her burial which will take place right after Zuhur. Aisha told me that she would most likely be buried in Kiara. But please reconfirm this fact.

I wish that I could be there this instant, as some of you who are far away must wish for too. There is so much blessing in being a Muslim and that is our ability to still express our love for those who have gone ahead of us through our duas.

Dua for Mak Dah throughout your day. And do the jenazah prayer for her if you are able too.

May Allah (SWT) bless Mak Dah with His mercy. May He bless the life that she has led. May He will it that her place of rest be akin to the gardens of paradise, and may her final destination be that of Jannah. Amin.
