Can't believe it's 2012 - where has the year gone?

Hello family members,

It's me again. I noticed there hasn't been any updates since last year and thought I send you a buzz on what's been happening to the Lyttle family here in Ireland. As you may have recalled that I've informed you that my husband has accepted a post to work in Christchurch in New Zealand. Since then we have done our medical check-ups and send all mentionable applications to the NZ Immigration. So far Stephen and Jasmine's visa clearance have been approved. Mine, unfortunately has been referred to the medical assessor on account that I have, occasionally experienced "sore knee". It is so frustrating!

Now Stephen is in two minds on whether he wants to go ahead or not in regards to actually moving us all to Christchurch. Mind you, there have been confirmed rumours that New Zealand might be experiencing a larger quake in the coming months. At this stage, I'm trying to calm his nerves down and I don't want to read too much into it. Do you have any friends down in New Zealand who let me know what's the situation is there?

Jasmine will again be turning 6 this 1 March and we will be having her birthday early. Her party is tomorrow and she has invited about 20 friends to the do. It's not the friends that she is excited about, more the presents they are bringing with them. Typical girl! She is a chatterbox. I sometimes feel quite exhausted after a session of chats with her. Boy! Can she talk but one thing for sure, she can really explain herself on how things work. Very inquisitive about everything and very observant too. Sometimes we feel that we are under her watchful eye so we have to be careful what we say around her because it come back and bit you in the behind ;)

Hope all of you have a good laugh about it and hopefully we would be able to see you soon!

Love

Feeling the blues today as I had contracted the cold from Jasmine. I feel like death warmed up. I'm shaking like a leaf.. have any of you ever felt that way before? One minute you're shivering and the next you feel like you're basking in the sauna. That's what I'm feeling at the moment. All I want now is to crawl into bed with a duvet over my head and go to sleep, but no such luck. Have got to go to work and earn some dosh *sigh*

Congratulations to Noreen & Yasmin again for the upcoming weddings. We wish you girls all the best and happiness and hopefully am dying to see some pictures. Don't forget okay and I'll try to do the same next week and send you photos of my lovely Jasmine. She has been talking non-stop and moving about lightning speed these days. I know she's going to wear both of us down.
